[Law's story makes the idea even more chilling, and Rosinante is quiet for a long while, which only amplifies the silence outside. If something demonic can be so undetectable, at least to an untrained observer, then it leaves a lot of awful possibilities open. But... Well, as Law says, who knows if he was told the truth. And that bothers him just as much - that there's something in human possession that's either so valuable or so terribly powerful that it was labeled "demonic" just to stop anyone asking further questions.
